Homerville, GA Mr. David Layton Tatum, Jr., 64, passed away Wednesday evening, December 30, 2009, at the Heritage House of Crestwood. Mr. Tatum was born December 10, 1945, in Ware County, to the late David L. Tatum, Sr. & Susie Mae Carter Tatum. He was employed by BWay Corp. as a lift truck driver, a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, and a Veteran for the U.S. Army. Survivors are his Wife: Mary Strickland Tatum, of Homerville; a son: David Layton Tatum III, of Waycross; two step daughters & sons-in-law: Wanda & Jimmy Futch, and Carolyn & Joe Sherrod, all of Homerville; a brother: Larry W. Tatum, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one grandchild; five step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; & several other relatives. Services for Mr. Tatum will be held Saturday, January 2, 2010, at eleven o'clock from Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from the Roundtree Funeral Home, Friday evening, January 1, 2010, from 6 til 8.
