Marcella Louise Corbitt Sweat

Homerville, GA Mrs. Marcella Louise Corbitt Sweat, 93, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at the Baptist Village Nursing Home, of Waycross. Mrs. Sweat was born February 17, 1916, in Ware County, to the late Dixon Corbitt & Doll Young Corbitt, and the last of eleven children. She was a Homemaker, a member of Victory Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Sweat was preceded in death by her husband: Bishop Milton Oscar Sweat; and two daughters: Patsy Oglesby & Marcella Louise Sweat. Survivors are five daughters: Mrs. Jimmy (Nolie) Musgrove, of Newberry, FL, Mrs. Gordan (Doleita) Busscher, of LakeCity, FL, Mrs. J.T. (Annie Ruth) Steedley, of Fargo; Mrs. Billy (Mary Dean) Hooper, of Homerville, GA, Ms. Diane Stephens Henry, of Villa Rica, GA; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; nineteen great-great-grandchildren; & several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Sweat will be held Friday, November 20, 2009, at two o'clock from the Kettle Creek Congregational Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Kettle Creek Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from the Roundtree Funeral Home, Thursday evening, November 19, 2009, from 6 til 9. Mrs. Sweat will be carried to the church one hour prior to services.
