Louise Pitts Cone

Mrs. Bonnie Louise Pitts Cone, 95, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, in the loving care of her sister, Isabel Brooks, following an extended illness. Mrs. Cone was born July 13, 1922, in Bonifay, FL, to Mannie Pitts and Sara Alice Yawn Pitts. She was a homemaker, of the Baptist faith and loved tending her garden and putting up vegetables. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clifford “Barney” Cone, three sisters: Sara Runelle Pitts Bowen, Monette “Betty” Pitts Hysler, and Cumi Pitts Powell and one brother: Albert John Pitts. Survivors are one sister: Isabel (Gordan) Brooks and two brothers: Glenn Pitts and Rema (Jackie) Pitts, all of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Cone will be held Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at eleven o’clock from the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Ramah Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
