Mr. Richard Leon “R.L.” Guy, 67, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence, following an extended illness. Mr. Guy was born August 5, 1950, in Live Oak, FL, to the late William Arthur Guy and Leaon Colley Guy. He was a Christian by faith, loved to sing silly songs with his family and had the ugliest dog in the world, Princess. He loved to just throw you in the water and tell you to swim and do things just the opposite to what other people said. He was preceded in death by one son: Henry “Tug” Delk, Jr; six brothers: Willie Fred Blackmon, Wayne “Smokey” Crawford, D. W. Blackmon, Emmett Blackmon, Dorman Guy and Jimmy Blackmon, and one sister: Elise Blackmon. Survivors are his wife: Mary Ann Davis Delk Guy, Homerville; three daughters and sons-in-laws; Tammy & Perry Thompson, Manor, GA, Donna Guy & Todd Meadows, New Baden, IL and Leonda Guy Thomason & Justin Radford, Springhill, TN; two sons and daughters-in-law; Richard “Reb” & Heather Guy, Homerville and Kyle “Rooster” & Stephanie Guy, Axson, GA; one sister and brother-in-law: Wanda & Harold Terri, Lake Park, GA; one brother and sister-in-law: Donzell & Carolyn Guy, Waycross, GA; fifteen grandchildren: Caleb “Sherman” Thompson, Henry “Tuggie” Bruce Delk III, Desirae Delk, Jack Cameron Thompson, Tyler Meadows, Kenzie Meadows, Logan & Slater, Jackson, Gavin Guy, Allie Guy, Simon Guy, Miley Guy, Gabe Thomason, Ethan, Thomason, Cole Thomason and Max Guy; three great grandchildren: McKensley “Turtle” Jackson, McKiyah Jackson and McKaebree Jackson and several other relatives. Memorialization will be by cremation. He loved fishing so much that a Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at the Swamp Park at a latter date. The family will be throwing flowers in the water to represent Mr. Guy, at the second spill way.
