Irma Lois Pittman Baker

Homerville, GA Mrs. Irma Lois Pittman Baker, 89, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017, in the Lakeland Villa Nursing Home, Lakeland, GA, following an extended illness. Mrs. Baker was born April 27, 1928, in Homerville, GA, to the late Gloff William Pittman and Letha Green Pittman. She had worked at Merico Baking Company and was a member of the Jonesboro Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband: James H. Baker; one sister: Wilma Fender; four brothers: Joe Pittman, Frank Pittman, Talmadge Pittman and Wallace Pittman. Survivors are two sons: Jackie Baker, Homerville and James Robert Baker, Barnesville, GA; one grandson: Kevin Baker; two great grandchildren: Madison Baker and Nathan Baker; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be held Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 at two o’clock from the chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Sherwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Jonesboro, GA. at two p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017. The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
