Homerville, GA Mrs. Evelyn Juanita Griffin Arnold Pittman, 85, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Pittman was born July 10, 1932, in Homerville, GA, to the late Harry J. Griffin and Lou Elvy Smith Griffin. She was a member of the New Vision Church of God and had worked as a waitress for the Wooden Spoon Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Joseph Arnold and Rev. Henry Pittman, Sr.; a daughter and son-in-law: Evelyn and Jim Lee; four brothers: William Griffin, Earnest Griffin, Lester Griffin and Skinny Griffin; and six sisters: May Holmes, Irma Booth, Nettie Wilson, Emma Wilson, Pauline McCoy and Ruby Rogers. Survivors are two daughters and sons in law: Donna Arnold & Virgil Sears and Linda and Sheldon Hartley, all of Homerville; two sons and daughters-in-law: Mike & Tori Arnold, Texas and Sean & Sheree Arnold, Homerville; one brother and sister-in-law: Paul & Murel McCoy, Homerville; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Pittman will be held Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at eleven o’clock from the New Vision Church of God. Interment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Pittman will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
