Statenville, GA Mrs. Laverne Henson Stabler, 84, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Stabler was born July 31, 1932, in Huxford, AL to the late Garland McGhee and Loney Henson Manac. She had worked for Levis in Valdosta, before her retirement and was a member of the Jesus Nation Worship Center, Statenville. She was a Creek Indian. Mrs. Stabler was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Wesley Stabler, three sons: Robert Dale Stabler, Monroe Stabler and Roger Stabler; one sister: Katherine McGee Deese; three brothers: Don Manac (USMC), Calvin Manac and Carl Wayne Manac. Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law: Davy & Sylvia Stabler and Michael & Kathy Stabler, all of Statenville; one daughter-in-law: Marsha Stabler, Statenville; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Carol & Billy Graddy, Fargo, Maggie & Ronnie Johns, Homerville, Cathy & Dolan Carver, Fruitland and Sue & Randy Stone, Pearson; four brothers and sisters-in-law: Bonnie & Minnie Lee Manac, Fruitland, Carlvin & Pat Manac, DuPont, Alvin “Tiny” Manac, Waycross and James Carl & Diane Manac, Statenville; eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, fifteen great great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Stabler will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at three o’clock from the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Stabler will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
