Homerville, GA Mr. Bobby James McLaine, 82, passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, following an extended illness. Mr. McLaine was born April 18, 1934, in Homerville, GA, to the late James Louie McLaine, Sr. and Eva Griffis McLaine. He was veteran of the U. S. Marines, a Mason and was an avid fisherman. He was a retired from the American General Life Insurance Company after 41 years and was a member of the Shiloh Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Doris Stiles and Cecil Ann Steedley and one brother: J. L. McLaine, Jr. Survivors are his wife of 59 years: Vonnell Smith McLaine, Homerville; two daughters and sons-in-law: Melissa & Andy Hendricks, Waycross and Julie & John Andros, Homerville; one son and daughter-in-law: Kevin & Susan McLaine, Homerville; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Jimmy & Martha McLaine, Nolan & Brenda McLaine and Kenton & June McLaine all of Homerville; nine grandchildren: Rick Corbitt, Jay Futch, Ken Futch, Kristi Andros, John Michael Andros, Lauren Sweat, Lindsay Linton, William Hendricks and Tristen Hendricks; eight great grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. McLaine will be held Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at eleven o’clock from the Shiloh Church. Interment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shiloh Church.
