Ellis Alford Buckhalter

Homerville, GA Mr. Ellis Alford Buckhalter, 75, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at the Hospice House, Waycross, GA, following an extended illness. Mr. Buckhalter was born June 7, 1941, in Argyle, Georgia to the late Carl Buckhalter and Cleo Chauncey Thomas. He worked for Walmart as a truck driver and was a member of the Shiloh Church. He was preceded in death by his wife: Naomi Burkett Buckhalter; two sisters: Barbara Ann Pearson and Penny Thomas; one brother: Frankie Thomas. Survivors are three daughters and sons-in-law: Donna Buckhalter and friend, Rebecca Lassabe, Homerville, GA, Michelle & Chris Pipes, Wewahitchka, FL and Brittney Morgan & Tim Groves, Homerville, GA; one sister: Scharlet Arnold, Waycross; three brothers & sisters-in-law: Roger & Chachi Thomas, Manor, GA, Danny & Judy Thomas, Waycross, GA and Johnny & Becky Thomas, Millen, GA; four grandchildren: Amanda & Billy Reliford, Douglas, Tristan Buckhalter, Atlanta, C. J. Pipes, Wewahitchka, FL and Resse Buckhalter, Homerville; eleven great grandchildren: Chance Sweat, Taylor Jewell, Dakota Griffin, Keegan Jewell, Andrew Jewell, Madison Reliford, Macy Morgan, Mika Reliford, Jasper Hopkins, Tristan Reliford, and Courtney Reliford; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Buckhalter will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at eleven a.m. at the Shiloh Church. Interment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Buckhalter will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
