Kareen Douglas Bennett

Homerville, GA Mrs. Rusha Kareen Douglas Bennett, 65, passed away, Friday, June 17, 2016, at her mother’s residence, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Bennett was born Jan. 23, 1951, in Homerville, Georgia to Mrs. Floye Rusha Davis Douglas and the late S. T. “Ned” Douglas. She worked for Southern Financial Systems in Nashville, GA as a data processor and was a member of New Vision Church of God where she taught Sunday School for 15 years. Survivors other than her mother are two sons: Chad Stewart & Joni Edenfield and Dustin Bennett & fiancée Katie Fitzgerald all of Homerville; two sisters and a brother-in-law; Rosalind Delk and Cindy & Rev. Art Smith, all of Homerville; one grandson: Dillon Stewart, Homerville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Bennett will be held Monday, June 20, 2016, at two o’clock in the New Vision Church of God. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 19, 2016, from 6 to 8 at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Bennett will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
