Katherine Griner Wallace

Homerville, GA Mrs. Katherine O. Griner Wallace 87, passed away, Saturday, June 11, 2016, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Wallace was born September 29, 1928, in Hahira, Georgia to the late Chart Griner and Mae Scott Cowart. She was a retired retail merchant and had worked as a bookkeeper for Conner and was a member of Homerville Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Wallace, one son, Robert Allen Wallace and one brother, Lindberg Henry. Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law: Ronald E. & Janice Wallace, Blairsville, GA; four daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara Jean & John A. Morgan, Sr., Homerville; Dorothy Darlene and Leroy Arnold, DuPont, GA; Katherine Anita and Dr. Jim Baggett, Foley Ala, and Lucinda and Richard Carlsen, Jr., Homerville; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Wallace will be held Monday, June 13, 2016, at eleven o’clock in the Homerville Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 12, 2016, from 6 to 8 at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Wallace will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
