Thelma Teston Johnson

Mrs. Thelma Ruth Ward Teston Johnson, 65, passed away Saturday, Apr. 23, 2016, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. Mrs. Johnson was born Jan. 7, 1951, in Waycross, GA to the late Erma Faye Lankford and Dallas LeRoy, but was adopted at the age of 13 by Conner Ward and Minnie Ward, due to her mother having breast cancer. She had worked at the Exotic Gardens in Valdosta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glynn Jeff Teston, Sr., and one son: Glynn Jeff Teston, Jr. Survivors are one daughter & son-in-law: Glynda & Jimmy King, Homerville; one son and fiancé: Stacy Teston & Rebecca Smiley, Homerville; four brothers & sisters-in-law: Wayne Joiner, Douglas, GA, Andy & Robin Ward, Derick Ward and Patrick & Sandi Ward, all of Hahira; five grandchildren: Tiffany King, James Harman, Shaun Harman, Bridglynn Harman and Brenda Johnson; a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held Friday, Apr. 29, 2016 at four o'clock in the New Vision Church of God. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, Apr. 28, 2016 from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
