Douglas, GA Ms. Jennifer McMillan Cooper, 40, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, in the Coffee Regional Medical Center, Douglas, GA, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous faith-filled battle. Ms. Cooper was born Sept. 2, 1975, in Valdosta, GA. She was employed with the Coffee County Board of Education as an advocate for migrant children for 1½ years. She had worked 16 years, for the Colquitt County Board of Education at the R. B. Wright Elementary School as a 1st grade teacher. She attended the Covenant Church, Douglas. Survivors are one daughter: Callie Claire Cooper, Douglas; one son: Lee Blaine Cooper, Jr., Lake Park; her father and mother: Jimmy C. McMillan, Sr. and Claire Griffis McMillan, Douglas; two brothers: John Jacob McMillan, Douglas and Jimmy Charles McMillan, Jr., Brunswick; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services for Ms. Cooper will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at three o’clock in the Edith Baptist Church, Fargo, GA. Interment will be in the Fargo Memorial Cemetery, Fargo, GA. The family will receive friends, Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, from 2 til 3 p.m. at the Edith Baptist Church.
