Brenda Pittman Spivey

Homerville, GA Mrs. Brenda Kay Herrin Pittman Spivey, 43, passed away Friday, Mar. 6, 2009, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Spivey was born Dec. 5, 1965 in Cook County, to the late Matthew Thomas Herrin and Gladys Chauncey Herrin. She attended the DuPont Full Gospel Mission and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Pittman, one daughter, Brenda Marie Pittman and two step-sons: Russell Pittman and Robert Paul Pittman. Survivors are two daughters and a son-in-law: Angela & Joseph Mizell and Daphne Pittman, all of Homerville; five step-daughters; Sue Maxine Grantham, Ocilla, Donna Merritt, Broxton, Delorise Pittman, Douglas, Elma Solomon & Alma Soles both of Nicholls; two step-sons: J. W. Pittman, Jr., Broxton and Carl Pittman, Nicholls; two sisters: Ruby Davis and Glenda Lolley, both of Homerville; twenty five grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services for Mrs. Spivey will be held Sunday, March 8, 2009, at three o’clock from the DuPont Full Gospel Mission. Interment will be in the Lang Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the funeral home from 6 till 8 p.m.
