George Thomas Brinkley, Jr.

Homerville, GA Mr. George Thomas Brinkley, Jr., 74, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mr. Brinkley was born in Rockwood, TN, July 16, 1934, to the late George Thomas Brinkley, Sr. and Violet Grace Carroll Brinkley. He was retired from General Motors in Detroit, MI before moving to Homerville about five years ago. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Lee Brinkley. Survivors are a sister and brother-in-law: Violet & James Wilbern Bennett, Homerville; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry A. & Barbara Brinkley, Lenoir City, TN, Donald E. & Louise Brinkley, Fountain, FL and Allen Leslie & Darlene Brinkley, Sr., Homerville: several nieces & nephews and other relatives. Services for Mr. Brinkley were held Monday, Mar. 2, 2009, from the chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Officiating was Rev. Ed Falgout. Interment was in the Pine Forest Cemetery.
