Homerville, GA Mrs. Willie Jean Hinson Douglas, 95, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, In The ClinchHealth Care, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Douglas was born June 22, 1920, in Homerville, GA to the late Bryant Hinson and Dicie James Hinson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Homerville United Methodist Church. She was a welder in the Brunswick shipyards during the war. She loved hunting and fishing and was preceded in death by her husband: Albert Douglas; two brothers: Layton Hinson and Bruce Hinson and one sister: Lucille Rigdon. Survivors are one daughter: Yvonne Douglas Williams, Homerville; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law: David Carlton & Lisa Cooper Ring, Jesup, GA; three great grandchildren: Alex Ring & Galiya Ring, both of Jacksonville, FL and Cooper Ring, Jesup, GA; and number of other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Douglas will be held Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at two o’clock in the Homerville United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be conveyed at the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.
