Margaret E. Register

Homerville, GA Mrs. Margaret E. Register, 91, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA, following a brief illness. Mrs. Register was born Feb. 1, 1924, in Clinch County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Rudolph Register and Mae Inman Register. She was a member of the Homerville First Baptist Church. She worked for Southern Bell in Valdosta, GA from 1943 until 1945. She graduated from Perry Business School and worked for Brockway Standard from 1957 until 1994 as payroll clerk. Mrs. Register was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Register. Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law: Cheryl & Hank Lemstrom, Sliver Springs, FL; one sister: Atheline Findley, Cordele, GA; three brothers and a sister-in-law: Harris Register, Candler & Lorean Register and Billy Register all of Homerville; one granddaughter: Julie Surdam, Ocala, FL; one great grandson: Dane Surdam, Ocala, FL and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Register will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at eleven o’clock in the Homerville First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Friday, June 26, 2015 from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Register will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
