Olivia Joyce Cason

Homerville, GA Mrs. Olivia Joyce Cason, 91, passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Mrs. Cason was born August 10, 1917, in Clinch County to the late, Alonzo Joyce, Jr. and Pearl Dame Joyce. She was a member of the Homerville First Baptist Church, Clinch County Senior Citizens Center and was a retired nurse. She was the widow of Louie Calvin Cason. Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law: Rita & Danny Spikes, Pearson; one son and daughter-in-law: Louie & Gail Cason, Homerville; one sister and brother-in-law: Marie & Ed Turk, Blackshear, GA; one granddaughter, two grandsons, one great grandson, one great granddaughter and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Cason will be held Monday, January 26, 2009 at two o’clock from the Homerville First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Cason will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
