Homerville, GA Mrs. Mary S. Smith, 88, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Homerville, GA, to the late Arch H. Smith and Dovie Jewell Smith. She had worked for the Clinch County Board of Education in the Elementary Lunchroom and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Pearson, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Smith; two sons: Wendell Edwin Smith and Raymond Earl Temple. Survivors are one daughter: Charlotte Robinson, Homerville; one son: Gary Temple and special friend Carol Howard, Homerville; daughter-in-law: Shirley Temple, Waycross, GA; eight grandchildren: Gary Robinson, David Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Kaycee T. Humphries, Krystal Temple, Billy Temple, Ronnie Henshaw, and Gary Temple, Jr., twelve great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held, Friday, Apr. 24, 2015 at eleven o’clock in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Pearson, GA. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Thursday, Apr. 23, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
