Homerville, GA Mrs. Mary K. Thrift Hendricks, 80, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 in the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, Tallahassee, FL, surrounded by her loving family, following a short illness. Mrs. Hendricks was born May 31, 1934, in Ware County, to the late Janeard Thrift and Delia Mae O’Neal Thrift. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church, where she established the Shiloh Ladies Prayer Band. She worked for several years as a teacher’s assistant for Mary Lynn Ayers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Andrew Hendricks; two sisters: Lottie Berry and Doris Alamani. Survivors are two daughters and a son-in-law; Zelda Jordan and Kim & Buck Davis all of Homerville; four sons and daughters-in-law: Andy & Faye Hendricks, Allen Hendricks, all of Homerville, Matt & Carol Hendricks, Midway, FL, and Doug & Loretta Hendricks, Homerville; four sisters: Sylvia Gray, Madison, FL, Ruby Ricketson, Blackshear, GA, Bobbie Bennett, Lake City FL and Ann Mynizzie York, Cherry Lake, FL; one brother: W. A. “Buck” Thrift, Cherry Lake, FL; 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Hendricks will be held Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at eleven o’clock in the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
