Betty Geraldine “Jerry” Smith

Homerville, GA Mrs. Betty Geraldine “Jerry” Smith, 79, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008, at Ochner Hospital Center, of Gretna, LA. Mrs. Smith was born October 10, 1929, in Clinch County, to the late Julian L. Rewis & Sallie Bunch Rewis. She was the Hospital Administrator for Clinch Memorial Hospital & worked at the Macon County Hospital. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by two brothers: Julian Lavone Rewis & John J. Rewis. Survivors are two daughters: Ann Tomlinson, of New Orleans, LA, & Nancy & Larry Herrin, of Baldwin, FL; one sister-in-law: Della Rewis, of Saucier, MISS; one grandson & daughter-in-law: Jonathan & Julie Tomlinson, of Belle Chasse, LA; two great-grandchildren: Olivia & Isabella Tomlinson, of Belle Chasse, LA; & several other relatives. Graveside Services for Mrs. Smith will be held Thursday, November 6, 2008, at two o'clock from the Wayfare Cemetery, of Echols County. The family will receive friends from the Funeral Home Wednesday, November 5, 2008, from 6 til 8pm. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Smith Family.
