Archie Lane Mosely

Atlanta, GA Mr. Archie Lane Mosely, 89, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008, at the Hospice of Atlanta. Mr. Mosely was born August 24, 1919, in Suwannee Station, FL, to the late S.C. Mosely & Mamie Sharpe Mosely. He Moved at an early age to Kinderlou, GA and then to DuPont, GA. Mr. Mosely was graduated from Clinch County High School and Louisiana State University in 1942 with a BM degree. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving three and a half years. Mr. Mosely studied in Paris from 1948-1953 and received several diplomas. He was retired from the Central Congregational Church, of Atlanta, where he was the pianist & organist. Mr. Mosely was preceeded in death by three sisters: Margaret Crawford, of College Park, GA, Mary Alice Lee & Doris Winter, both of Homerville; three brothers: Charles Mosely, of Tulsa, OK, Joe Mosely, of Twin City, GA, and Albert Mosely, Sr., of Dunwoody, GA. Survivors are a number of nieces and nephews; & several other relatives. Graveside services for Mr. Mosely will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008, at eleven o'clock from the Pine Forest Cemetery. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Mosely Family.
