Pearson, GA Mr. William Luther “Bill” McCoy, 68, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 in the Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, surrounded by his loving wife & children. Mr. McCoy was born July 18, 1946, in Detroit, MI, to the late William A. McCoy and Mary Morey McCoy. He was a retired corrections officer, a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Homerville, where he shared his love for the Lord as the Sunday Morning greeter, passing out programs and hugs and was a member of the Super Seniors Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was preceded in death by one son, Randy McCoy. Survivors include his wife: Margie Selph McCoy, Pearson; three daughters & sons-in-law: Wanda & Robbie Brown, Angie & William Bradford, all of Homerville and Cheryl & Wes Cady, Axon, GA; three sons: Robbie McCoy, Lebanon, TN, Jeff Norris and Jonathan Norris, both of Sebring, FL; one brother and sister-in-law: Ken & Anne McCoy, Lake Placid, FL; one sister-in-law & brother-in-law: Linda & Jim Allen, Lexington, SC; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: Buddy & Lydia Selph and Lewis Selph, all of Homerville; eight grandchildren: Nicole & Matt Spikes, Mikki & Richard Yawn, Elizabeth & Brian Herrin, Austin Bradford, Jessica Raffield, Sydney Davis, Josha Norris and Jacob Norris; three great grandchildren: Laneston, Carson and Eli; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. McCoy will be held, Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 at three o’clock in the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Homerville. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Homerville.
