Lizzie Idell Wetherington

Homerville, GA Mrs. Lizzie Idell Wetherington, 82, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at the Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Wetherington was born December 17, 1925 to the late Plesant Watson & Bessie Griner Watson. She was a member of the Homerville Congregational Methodist Church and was retired from the Clinch County Middle School Lunchroom. She was the widow of Frank L. Wetherington, and is preceded in death by two brothers: J.P. Watson & Bill Watson. Survivors are a daughter & son-in-law: Gail & Cecil Vest, of Homerville; three sons & daughters-in-laws: Frank L. & Nelda Wetherington, of Valdosta, Darrell & Martha Jon Wetherington, of Homerville, and Quinn & Terry Wetherington, of Moultrie; one sister: Osra Mae Blanton, of Nashville; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Wetherington will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at eleven o'clock from the Homerville Congregational Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from Roundtree Funeral Home from 6 til 8. Mrs. Wetherington will be carried to the church one hour prior to services.
