Mary Jeanette Humbers

Homerville, GA Mrs. Mary Jeanette Ballance Humbers, 64, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008, in the South Georgia Medical Center, following a brief illness. Mrs. Humbers was born December 26, 1943 to the late John David “J.D.” Ballance and Nettie Mae Smith Ballance. She was employed at Clinch Memorial Hospital for 32 years, as a ward clerk, EMT and for the last several years as a phlebotomist. She was a member of the New Vision Church of God and the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Survivors are her husband: Eugene “Gene” Humbers, Homerville; one daughter & son-in-law: Beth & Bobby Walton, Homerville; three sons & daughters-in-law: Greg & Pam Humbers, Waycross, Troy & Margaret Humbers and Alan & Buffy Humbers, Homerville; one sister & brother-in-law: Minnie Nell & Pat Ledford, Naylor; one brother & sister-in-law: David & Dorothy Balance, Homerville; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Humbers will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at eleven o’clock from the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 till 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Humbers will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
