Homerville, GA Mrs. Emma Clo Griffin Wilson, 84, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. Mrs. Wilson was born January 23, 1924 to the late, Harry J. Griffin and Lou Elvie Smith Griffin. She was a member of the New Vision Church of God, was a caregiver for many years and was the caretaker of Lake Vern Hunting & Fishing Club for 13 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coats Wilson, three sisters: Mae Ola Holmes, Pauline McCoy and Nettie Ruth Wilson; four brothers: William Griffin, Henry “Skinny” Griffin, Ernest Griffin and Lester Griffin. Survivors are three daughters and sons-in-law: Tammis & Ramson Steedley and Sharon & Robert McCain all of Homerville and Fern & Wilbert Graves, Waycross; one son and daughter-in-law: Harris & Marie Wilson, Homerville; three sisters and a brother-in-law: Irma Booth, Ruby Rogers and Juanita & Henry Pittman all of Homerville; one brother and sister-in-law: Paul & Merle McCoy, Homerville; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Wilson will be held Monday, September 22, 2008 at eleven o’clock from the New Vision Church of God. Interment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 till 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
