Max Frank Foster

Homerville, GA Mr. Max Frank Foster, 69, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at South Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Foster was born October 29, 1938 to the late Robert Harold Foster & Mable Sheppard Foster. He was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Navy working in Electronics and Communications and a member the VFW, the Navy Retired Officers Association, and Normandy United Methodist Church, of St. Louis, MO. Mr. Foster was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Foster & Johnny Foster and one sister: Mary Florence Foster. Survivors are his wife: Mary Jo Steedley Foster, of Homerville; one son & daughter-in-law: Robert Anderson & Carrie Foster, of Jeffersonville, VT; one granddaughter: Kate Elizabeth Foster, of Jeffersonville, VT; one step-daughter & son-in-law: Dawn & Howard Slocomb, of Homerville; one sister-in-law: Jane Helms, of Homerville; one nephew & niece-in-law: Jeff & Cathy Helms, of DuPont; one great nephew: Jack Helms III, of DuPont; and several other relatives. Memorial services for Mr. Foster will be held Saturday, September 20, 2008, at eleven o’clock, from the Homerville United Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, of St. Louis, MO, Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at 1 pm. The family will receive friends after the memorial service.
