Wilma Pittman Fender

Vidalia, GA Mrs. Wilma Dorris Pittman Fender, 76, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014 in the Memorial Medical Center, Savannah, Georgia after a sudden illness. Mrs. Fender was born April 24, 1938 in Clinch County to the late William M. Pittman and Leatha Greene Pittman. She was employed as a nursing assistant with the Clayton General Hospital and was a member of the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Joe Pittman, Wallace Pittman, Talmadge Pittman and Frank Pittman. Survivors are her husband: Cecil Edward Fender; Vidalia; three daughters and sons-in-law: Debra & Dennis Stephens, Vidalia, Lynn & Bruce Berry, Barcelos, Brazil and Leatha & Dennis Martin, Luthersville, GA; one sister: Irma Pittman Baker, Homerville; six grandchildren: Gabriel Berry, Lauren Berry McDonald, Jared Berry, Justin Adam Martin, Matthew Stephens and Ryan Stephens; seven great grandchildren and several other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Fender will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at two o’clock in the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Arabia Church Cemetery. The family will receive friend’s Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Fender will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
