Waycross, GA Mr. Richard Herman Vinson, 69, passed away, Sunday, June 15, 2014, in the Hospice Satilla, Waycross, GA, following an extended illness. Mr. Vinson was born June 17, 1944 in Calhoun County, FL, to the late William Henry Vinson and Trudy Lollie Vinson. He owned and operated Vinson Logging and was a member of the University Boulevard Church of God. He was preceded in death by two daughters: Teresa Cox and Lisa Smith, one sister: Mary Waldron and one brother: Willard Vinson. Survivors are his wife: Margaret Bennett Vinson, Waycross; three daughters and sons-in-law: Melissa Vinson, Waycross, Samantha & Kevin Rittenhouse, Homerville and Tabitha & Tony Propes, Waycross; two sons and daughters-in-law: Darion & Darlene O’Berry, Homerville and Bill & Julie O’Berry, Waycross; two sisters and brother-in-law: Doris Long, Fargo and Diane & Dorman Guy, Hahira; two brothers: J. W. Vinson, Blountstown, FL and Jerry Vinson, MacClenny, FL; twenty two grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Vinson will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at two o’clock in the DuPont Full Gospel Mission. Interment will be in the Arabia Church Cemetery.
