Homerville, GA Mrs. Martha Barnes Mills, 75, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008, at her residence, following an extended illness. Mrs. Mills was born September 12, 1932, in Clinch County, to the late Marvin Barnes & Lizzie Spivey Barnes. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Mrs. Mills was preceded by her husband: Woodrow Mills; one daughter: Ann Mizell; and one son: Jackie W. Mills. Survivors are four daughters: Geraldine Booth, Doris Johns, Floy Nell Mills, & Frankie Mills, all of Homerville; one son: Johnny Mills, of Homerville; two sisters: Nadine Strickland, & Evelyn Stevens, both of Homerville; one brother: Lucious Barnes, of Homerville; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Mills will be held Sunday, August 10, 2008, at three o’clock, from the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Internment will be in the Lang Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 9, 2008, from the Roundtree Funeral Home, from 7 til 9pm. Mrs. Mills will be carried to the church one hour prior to services.
