Homerville, GA Mrs. Elizabeth Anne “Beth” Manley Thrift, 49, passed away, Sunday, May 25, 2014, at her residence, surrounded by her loving and caring family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Thrift was born October 28, 1964 in Hahira, GA, to Jean Martin Manley, Homerville and the late Walter McCann “Mack” Manley. She had attended Georgia State College, Milledgeville and received her Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University. She retired from the Clinch County Board of Education in 2012, where she had worked in as a Pre-K Teacher. She had also taught at the Fargo Pre-K and had taught third grade. She was a member of the Clinch County Retired Teachers Association, Homerville First Baptist Church where she worked with the Cherub Choir and was a member of the Son Seekers Sunday School Class. Survivors other than her mother, are her husband: Stanley Thrift, Homerville; four daughters and sons-in-law: Laurie Anna & Josh Lee, DuPont, Maura & Ben Howell, Kaitlyn Thrift and Kelsie Thrift all of Homerville; one sister and brother-in-law: Laurie M. & Curt Malcom, Homerville; three grandchildren: Addison Pittman, Emma Charles Howell and Mack Lee; two special sisters: Mary Angeline Lankford and Dawn Slocomb; three special care-givers: Audrey Manac, Heather, Graddy and Mandy Corlee; one niece, Sara Grayson Malcom; one nephew: Statton Malcom and several other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Thrift will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at two o’clock from the Homerville First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 till 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church.
