Homerville, GA Mrs. Vivian Elaine Notti Stalvey, 82, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008, at the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. Mrs. Stalvey was born January 5, 1926, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to the late Carl August Notti &Vivian Hazel Robbinson Notti. She worked as a bookkeeper for Stalvey Wood Products. She was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and president of the James Stalvey Joint Venture. Mrs. Stalvey was the widow of Rev. Jesse Stalvey. Survivors are four daughters & sons-in-law: Lynn & Jake Maine, of Valdosta, Karleen & George O’Berry, Vivian & Johnny Smith, and Jamie Douglas, all of Homerville; eight grandchildren: Kim Corbett, of Lake Park, GA, Laurie Hancock, of Valdosta, Ga, Jennifer Dees, of Lake Park, GA, Shannon Danforth, of Nashville, GA, Craig Smith, Josh Smith, and Lee Douglas, all of Homerville, and Becky Smith, of Nashville, TN; nine great-grand children: Justin, Jessica, & Jared Corbett, all of Lake Park, GA, Garrett Hancock, of Valdosta, GA, Jake & John Parker Dees, both of Lake Park, GA, and Katherine, Jonathan, & Lexie Smith, all of Homerville; and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Stalvey will be held Sunday, August 3, 2008, at three o’clock, from the First Baptist Church. Internment will be held in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Family are asked to be Honorary Pallbearers and be at the church at 2:30pm. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, August 2, 2008, from the Roundtree Funeral Home, from 7 til 9. Mrs. Stalvey will be carried to the church one hour prior to services.
