Joseph "Mack" MacArthur McClaine

DuPont, GA  Mr. Joseph MacArthur “Mack” McClaine passed away Thursday, Apr. 10, 2014 in the Shands at University of Florida Hospital, Gainesville, FL, following a short illness.  Mr. McClaine was born December 6, 1944 in Homerville, GA to the late Willis McClaine and Adeline Griffis McClaine. He was a retired Master Electrician working at B-Way Corp. for 39 years and veteran of the U. S. Navy serving as an aviation electrician. Mack was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with “his girls”. A lifetime of memories have been made with family and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lora Nell Burkett and Ruth Burris and one brother, William (Bill) McClaine.  Survivors are his wife of 48 years: Katie S. McClaine, DuPont; two daughters and a son-in-law: Marie McClaine and Tonya & Jimmy Stalvey, all of DuPont; two brothers & sisters-in-law: James & Quay McClaine, DuPont, and Robert L. & Imogene McClaine, Homerville; four grandchildren: Kaitlyn Thrift, Kelsie Thrift, Megan Stalvey and Carra Stalvey; twelve nieces & nephews, numerous great nieces & nephews and other relatives.  Funeral services for Mr. McClaine will be held Monday, April 14, 2014 at four o’clock from the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Homerville, GA.  Interment will be in the North Cemetery, DuPont, GA.  The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 til 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.  Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.  Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
