Hoover "Son-Son" Phillips

Homerville, GA Mr. Hoover Phillips, 62, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mr. Phillips was born May 22, 1946 in Dallas County, AL, to the late Andrew Phillips & Sylvia Russell Phillips. He was a self employed mechanic, and was preceded in death by three sisters: Leola Phillips, Lou Bertha Hunter, & Eloise Phillips; one brother: Carl Phillips; and one son: Curtis Fair. Survivors are the mother of four of his children: Rose Johnson, of Homerville; four daughters: Tashika Andrews & Kiera Phillips, both of Homerville, Stephanie Williams, of Selma, AL, and Leila Leggett, of Mobile, AL; one son: Leonardo Phillips, of Homerville; two sisters: Nellie Sanders, of Chicago, IL; two brothers: Willie Gene Phillips and Louise Brooks, both of Chicago, IL; eighteen grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Phillips will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2008, at three o’clock, from the Antioch First Baptist Church. Internment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 15, 2008, from 6 til 8pm, from the Roundtree Funeral Home. Mr. Phillips will be carried to the Church one hour prior to services.
