Homerville, GA Mr. Carl Hubert Shell, 81, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 in the Clinch HealthCare, following an extended illness. Mr. Shell was born June 23, 1932 in Willacoochee, GA to the late Clarence James Shell and Naomi Fussell Shell. He was a self-employed bee keeper, was a member of the Cassia Lodge 224 and the Bee Keepers Association. He was a member of the Farm Bureau of Clinch County where he served on the Board of Directors and was a past Farmer of the Year. Survivors are his wife: Clennie Griffis Shell; one daughter and son-in-law: Barbara & Dennis Bell; one son and daughter-in-law: Carl & Connie Shell, all of Homerville; one brother: Charles Clayton Shell, Lafayette, GA; four grandchildren: Dennis Hendley, Jerome Herrin, Stacey Shell and Jeannie Shell; ten great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Shell will be held Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013 at two o’clock from the Homerville Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery.
