Homerville,Ga Mr. Alton Willie James, 81, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. James was born November 17, 1926, in Ware County, to the late Lloyd James & Nancy Ratliff James. He worked for St. Regius as a Knife Grinder, and a member of the Place of Blessings Church of God, in Argyle, & the Senior Citizens Center. Survivors are three daughters & sons-in-law: Lerell Johnston, of Douglas, Sharon & Frank Keith, of Fruitland, and Doris & Ray Day, of Homerville; two sons & daughters-in-law: Alvin & Janice James, of Fargo, and David & Diane James, of Homerville; three brothers: Carol James, of Waycross; Curley James, of Manor, and Ralph James, of Lakeland, FL; nineteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and several other nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. James will be held Thursday, June 12, 2008, at eleven o’clock, from the Place of Blessings Church of God, in Argyle. Internment will be in the Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy, in Manor, GA. The Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 11, 2008, from seven until nine o’clock. Mr. James will by carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the James Family.
