Homerville, GA Mrs. Angeline Lucille Hinson Rigdon, 91, passed away Monday, March 26, 2008, in the Lakeland Villa Convalescence Center, Lakeland, following an extended illness. Mrs. Rigdon was born, February 10, 1917, in Clinch County to the late Bryant Franklin Hinson and Dicie James Hinson. She was a retired teacher for the Clinch County Elementary School and was a member of the Argyle Methodist Church and the Antioch Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Rigdon, Sr.; two brothers, Layton Hinson and Bruce Hinson. Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law: Glenda & John Bass, Homerville; one son and daughter-in-law: Sonny & Camille Rigdon, Homerville; one sister: Willie Jean Douglas, Homerville; six grandchildren: Trey & Patti Bass, Lakeland, April & Steve Gano, Valdosta, Jamie Bass, Homerville, Martha Douglas, Atlanta, Lauren & Brad Murphy, Savannah, and Seth Rigdon, Homerville; six great grandchildren, Nathan Bass & Walker Bass, all of Lakeland, Aniston Gano, Stefie Gano, & Grant Gano, all of Valdosta and Jack Murphy, Savannah, her beloved pet, Buster; several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Services for Mrs. Rigdon will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2008 at two o’clock from the Homerville Congregational Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Antioch Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Rigdon will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
