Homerville, GA Mrs. Beulah Faye Sears Strickland, 95, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008, in the Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center, Brunswick, GA, following an extended illness. Mrs. Strickland was born in Coffee County, September 25, 1912, to the late Thomas Sears and Pearl Anderson Sears. She was a homemaker, member of the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church and had lived in the Bayview Nursing Home, Nahunta for the last two years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Strickland, one daughter, Vida Faye Carlsen, three sons, Wesley H. Strickland, Roy Earl Strickland and Jerry Clyde Strickland. Survivors are one son: William L. Strickland, Waverly, GA; sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and other relatives. Services for Mrs. Strickland will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at two o’clock from the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, May 26, 2008 at the funeral home from 6 till 8 p.m. Mrs. Strickland will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
