Homerville, GA Mrs. Ethel Lee Thompson Holmes, 94, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 in the Clinch HealthCare Center, following a short illness. Mrs. Holmes was born Sept. 26, 1919 in Charlton County, to the late Elie Thompson and Arazona Thompson. She was a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Allen Wheeler and Charles Holmes, one son, Chester Allen Wheeler. Survivors are one son: John Glenn Wheeler, Fargo; 10 grandchildren: Chelsie Wheeler, Zachary “Zack” Wheeler, both of Homerville, Whithey Wheeler, Valdosta, Bonnie Altman, Audrey O’Brian, Jimmy Hargraves, Vanessa Forbes, Tommy Driggers, Steve Driggers and Jimmy Lee Hargraves; 29 great grandchildren: including, Remington Wheeler, Easton Wheeler, Corbin Wheeler and Carmyn Wheeler; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Graveside services for Mrs. Holmes will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at two o’clock in the Boone Creek Cemetery, St. George, GA.
