Homerville, GA Mr. Wilford Boatright, 80, passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 in the Coffee Regional Medical Center, Douglas, following an extended illness. Mr. Boatright was born June 14, 1933 in Homerville to the late Chesley John Danial Boatright and Carrie Mae Beverly Boatright. He was a retired handy man, having worked several years for the Florida Missionaries and was a member of the Homerville and Willacoochee Senior Citizens Center. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Reese Pearl Lashley Boatright and second wife, Judy Boatright; two sisters: Vera Mae Carter and Marie Floyd. Survivors are four daughters: Deborah Diana Gonzales, friend Edwardo Hernandez, Pearson, GA, Patricia Walsh, husband Michale, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Sharon Mathis, friend Tony Harding, McRae, GA and Linda Ayal, Palm Bay, FL; two sons: Charles Boatright, Millwood, GA and Daniel Boatright, IA; one sister and brother-in-law: Dorothy & J.B. Roundtree, Homerville; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Boatright will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 at two o’clock from the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Boatright will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
