Homerville, GA Mr. William Henry “Boss” Delk, Jr., 76, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in the Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Delk was born June 21, 1931 in Clinch County to the late William Henry Delk, Sr, & Nora Candace Herrin Delk. He was the Owner & Operator of Delk Post Company, a member of New Vision Church of God, & Cutting Hunting Club. Mr. Delk was preceded by one son: Charlie Ronnie Delk; two sisters:Mary Lou Reece & Annie Delk; & one brother: Willis “Mann” Delk. Survivors are his wife: Geraldine “Jerrie” Tomlinson Delk, of Homerville; three sons & daughters-in-law: Wayne & Linda Delk, Randall & Barbara Delk, and Tommy & Diane Delk, all of Homerville; one daughter-in-law: Rosalind Delk, of Homerville; two sisters: Nora Lee Daniels & Maxine Davis, both of Homerville; one brother: Jefferson Davis “J.D.” Delk, of Homerville; four grandchildren: Brian Delk, Ron Delk, Rusty Delk, & Diana Herrin, all of Homerville; five great-grandchildren: Maggie Delk, Kearson Delk, Gracie Herrin, Cody Herrin, & Allie Delk, all of Homerville; & several other relatives. Services for Mr. Delk will be held Friday, April 11, 2008, at two o’clock from the New Vision Church of God. Interment will be in Pine Forest Cemetery. The Delk family will receive friends from the Roundtree Funeral Home, Thursday evening, April 10, 2008, from 7 til 9pm. Mr. Delk will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
