DuPont, GA Mr. James Edward Royals, 74, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at his residence, following an extended illness. Mr. Royals was born May 6, 1939, in Atkinson County, GA to the late James Abner Royals and Nunnie Mae Spivey Royals and lived in Clinch County most of his life. He was a member of the DuPont Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer, log truck driver and liked to do many odd jobs. Survivors are his wife: Betty Arnold Royals, DuPont; three sons: Hank Royals, Willie James Royals and Franklin Edward Royals, all of DuPont; one sister: Cathy Melton, Lakeland, GA; three brothers: Vernon Royals, Tifton, Donald Royals and Randall Royals, both of DuPont; two grandchildren: Carolyn Royals Stephens and Jonathan Royals; great grandchildren: Christian Stephens, Chasity Stephens, Camren Stephens and a number of other nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Royals will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013 at eleven o’clock from the DuPont Baptist Church. Interment will be in the North Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Royals will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
