Rev. Walter “Mutt” O’Berry

Fargo, GA Rev. Walter “Mutt” O’Berry, 78, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Clinch Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. Rev. O’ Berry was born August 5, 1929, in Ware County, to the late Ebisoner O’Berry & Nellie Hargrave O’Berry. He was the pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy in Fargo for several years, a member of Victory Chapel Church of God of Prophecy, and had worked for Griff Pine Enterprise as a Mechanic & Logger. Rev. O’Berry enjoyed playing his guitar & ministering at the Nursing Home, & his yearly family reunion. He was preceded in death by his wife: Carolyn Griffis O’Berry, Survivors are two daughters & sons-in-law: Vivian & Huey Cooner, of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Sylvia & Terry Foskey, of Bonifay, FL; two sons & a daughter-in-law: Darrell O’Berry, of Fargo; Danny & Marie O’Berry, of Waycross, GA; one sister: Geraldine Rutherford, of Quincy, FL; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; & several other relatives. Services for Rev. O’Berry will be held Sunday, March 30, 2008, at three o’clock from the Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy, of Manor. Interment will be in the Fargo Memorial Cemetery.
