Mr. Ben Wilson, 83, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 in the Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross. Mr. Wilson was born Feb. 24, 1930 in Millwood, GA to the late Henry Walter Wilson and Katie Barnadore Wilson. He lived most of his life in Argyle and was retired Logger and Farmer and was Co-Owner of the C & T Lawn Care, Inc. of Waycross. He is a member of the New Vision Church of God and was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Ruth Griffin Wilson, four sisters, Pauline O’Berry, Margret (Winki) Douglas, Martha Hines and Lucy Morgan; four brothers, Henry Wilson, Jon Wilson, Tom Wilson and Coats Wilson. Survivors are a daughter, Katie Wilson Bennett of Homerville; three sons, Carl Wilson and wife Tina of Waycross, Mack Wilson and wife Cathy of Argyle and Johnny Wilson of Argyle; A brother, Winton Wilson and wife Francis of Manor; Ten Grandchildren, Tracy B. Stalvey and husband Jeffery, Stacie B. Hendrix and husband Eric, Melissa B. Gilbreth and husband Johnny, Dina W. Dryden and husband Mike, Wesley Wilson and wife Billie Ann, Scarlett T. Perrot and husband Mark, Brock Wilson and fiancée Amanda, Brandon Wilson and wife Kerri Ann, Jennifer W. Allen and husband Brian and Pagie Wilson and fiancée San King. Services for Mr. Wilson were held Thursday, May 9, 2013 at eleven o'clock from the New Vision Church of God. Officiating was Bishop Jerry Baldree and Bishop David Price. Internment was in the Shiloh Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Billy Morgan, Ray Howling, Mervin Bennett, Wyman Smith, Jon Sirmans, William Corbitt, Mark Perrott and Charles Douglas. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Adult Sunday School Class and Rev. & Mrs. David Inman. Danny Holmes sang Beulah Land and Tina Henderson sang I Am. Donations may be made to the New Vision Church Building Fund, 215 N. Dickerson St., Homerville, GA 31634. Roundtree Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
