George Robert Baker

Fargo, Ga Mr. George Robert Baker, 70, passed away Monday morning, February 18, 2008 at Malcom Randall VA Hospital in Gainesville, FL, following a short illness. Mr. Baker was born May 3, 1937, in Clarke County, AL. He attended Fargo Church of God, worked as a Mill Right for Griffis Lumber Company, a Beekeeper, and was a veteran of the Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by one son: George Robert Baker, Jr. Survivors are his wife: Margaret Tucker Baker, of Fargo; one daughter & a son-in-law: Denise & Grant Conine, of Lakeland; two sons & daughter-in-law: Joey & Lynn Baker and Greg Baker & Karen Moore, all of Fargo; two sisters & a brother-in-law: Laura Ann Nelson, and Charlotte & L.B. Graham, all of Saraland, AL; father & mother: Grover Orlando & Glendora Ross Baker, of Graceville, FL; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Baker will be held Thursday February 21, 2008, at two o’clock, from the Fargo Church of God. Internment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from the Funeral Home, Wednesday evening, February 20, 2008, from seven till nine. Mr. Baker will be carried to the church one hour prior to the service.
