Homerville, GA Rev. Johnny B. Deese, 79, passed away January 2, 2008, at his residence in Homerville, following an extended illness. Rev. Deese was born August 15, 1928, in Holmes County, FL, to the late Willie B. Deese & Salee Hallford Deese. He pastored the DuPont Full Gospel Mission Church, and was a mechanic for Jessie Stalvey. He was preceded in death by one sister & brother-in-law: Thelma & Clarence Morgan ; and one brother: Junior Deese. Survivors are his wife: Sarah Deese, of Homerville; three daughters & sons-in-law: Joan & John Boyles, of Homerville, Shelia & Stanley Pittman, of Waycross, and Martha & Dorel Hainley, of Naylor;two step-daughters & a step-son-in-law: Marcelle Bateson, and Yevette & Harley Wagstaff, all of Homerville; one son & daughter-in-law: Jerry & Ruby Dell Deese, of Homerville; one step-son & step-daughter-in-law: Walter & Trish Vinson, of Jasper, FL; one sister & brother-in-law: Velma & Alfred Jordan, of Homerville; one sister-in-law: Jeanette Deese, of Homerville; twenty grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Services for Rev. Deese will be held Friday, January 4, 2008, at three o’clock from the DuPont Full Gospel Mission. Interment will be in the North Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home, Thursday, January 3, 2008, from 6-8pm. He will be carried to the church one hour prior to services. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Deese Family.
