Homerville, GA Mrs. Mary Jane Bennett Corbitt, 69, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Corbitt was born Sept. 18, 1943, in Lanier County, to the late William Oliver Bennett and Elizabeth Fender Bennett Hughes. She was a homemaker and attended the Church of God and Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Survivors are her husband: Herman Corbitt, Homerville, GA; four daughters & sons-in-law: Shirley & Eddie Teston, Mary Lynn & Mervin Bennett and Linda & Raymond Peterson, all of Homerville and Betty Sue & Shad Dean, Lake Park; seven sons & daughters-in-law: Jimmy & Charlotte Gaskins, Homerville, Robert & Denise Gaskins, Douglas, Jerry & Sadie Corbitt, Kenny Corbitt, Ricky & Angie Corbitt and Michael Corbitt all oh Homerville and Scotty & Tina Corbitt, Brunswick; two sisters: Louise Warren, Alapaha and Magielane Gaskins, Daytona, FL: two brothers: Wilburn Bennett and Cliff Bennett, both of Homerville; thirty six grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several other relatives.. Services for Mrs. Corbitt will be held Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at eleven o’clock from the DuPont Baptist Church. Interment will be in the North Cemetery, DuPont. Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home. Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.
