Waycross, GA. Lois Franklin Hendrix, 73, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Hendrix was born June 14, 1934, in Clinch County, GA to the late Farley H. Hendrix and Lottie Mae Pittman Hendrix. He had lived in Clinch County until five years ago when he moved to Waycross to be near his daughter. He had worked as a mechanic at Standard Container, and was also a Beekeeper. He attended the Church of God. Mr. Hendrix was preceded in death by two sisters: Dollie Mae Murphy and Verdie Walker, two brothers: Huey Hendrix and Sammie Hendricks. Survivors are one daughter & son-in-law: Lottie “Dena” & Johnny Roberson of Waycross, GA; two sons & daughter in law: Jackie & Tammy Hendrix of Waycross, GA; and David Hendrix of Nashville, GA; two sisters: Doris Peek of Homerville, GA and May Belle Harper of Orlando, FL; four brothers: Sherman Hendrix, Hubert Hendrix, Horace Hendrix, and Robert Hendrix all of Homerville, GA; eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and other relatives. Services for Mr. Hendrix will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at two o’clock from the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. Mr. Hendrix will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 till 8 p.m. Mr. Hendrix will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
