Ira Pittman

Homerville, GA Mr. Ira Pittman, Sr., passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA, following an extended illness. Mr. Pittman was born July 21, 1940, in Clinch County to the late Floyd Pittman and Viola Howling Pittman. He was a retired pulpwooder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Lillian Holmes Pittman and a daughter, Annette Pittman. Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law: Betty Sue & Johnnie Hendrick, Homerville; two sons: Bobby Pittman, and Floyd Pittman, both of Homerville; one sister: Thelma Miller, Paducah, KY; three brothers and sister-in-law: James & Sophronia Pittman, Samuel Pittman and Eddie Pittman, all of Homerville, four grandchildren: Steven Henderick, Becky Henderick, Little Johnnie Hendrick and Rachel Pittman and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Pittman will be held Monday, April 2, 2012, at eleven o’clock from the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Internment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, Apr. 1, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
