Homerville, GA Mr. Fred R. Vickers, 62, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2007, in the Kindred Hospital North Florida, Green Cove Springs, FL following an extended illness. Mr. Vickers was born January 29, 1945 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, to the late Willie West Vickers and Willmina Shape Vickers. He was a member of the Homerville Free Will Baptist Church and a committee chairman for the Boy Scouts. He was retired from the Clinch County Road Department. Survivors are his wife: Deborah Timmons Vickers, Homerville; three sons and a daughter-in-law: Whit & Elizabeth Vickers, Valdosta, Zach Vickers, Lincoln, NB and Jim Vickers, Homerville; one sister: Nina Mott, Hahira; two brothers: Jimmie Vickers and Jerry Vickers both of Hahira: two grandchildren: Lauren Vickers and Will Vickers both of Valdosta; his faithful friend, Frankie Jean and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Vickers will be held Friday, September 7, 2007 at two o’clock from the Homerville Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. Mr. Vickers will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 till 8 p.m. Mr. Vickers will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Mr. Vickers wanted all children to attend Free Will Baptist Church Camp. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Homerville Free Will Baptist Church Camp Scholarship, P.O.
